The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning (the Tett) opened its doors to the public in 2015. As a non-profit, charitable organization, the Tett’s name is a signifier of what it aims to promote. The Tett seeks to offer affordable spaces, promote learning, and create accessible programming for people with varied abilities. Through partnerships with local businesses, individuals, and organizations, the Tett is a hub where creative communities can forge connections.

With a large roster of programming including Tett Tuesdays, the Indigenous Art Series, workshops, summer camps, exhibitions, and open-door days, the Tett aims to provide a space for any maker to feel safer and supported while expanding their communities.

Learning at the Tett happens both formally and informally. Traditional courses facilitate the transfer of knowledge about history and skill between teachers and students, while informal learning takes place when people interact, view art, and see creativity happening during courses and around the building.

At the Tett you will see interactions between family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers. These people create using different materials and techniques, across in-person and virtual platforms, all while fostering a community of makers bringing change and renewal to our community.
